Dr. Gerd Kommer

Dr. Gerd Kommer, LL.M. is the founder and managing director of Gerd Kommer Invest GmbH.

Before founding Gerd Kommer Invest in January 2017, Gerd Kommer worked for around 24 years in the corporate lending business and institutional asset management of various banks in Germany, South Africa and Great Britain. Most recently, he headed the London branch and the Infrastructure & Asset Finance division of a German asset management company until the end of 2016. In this position, he was responsible for a portfolio of structured loans and bonds with a volume of 16 billion euros.

Gerd Kommer has published several financial advice books. He studied business administration, tax law, German and political science in Germany, the USA and Liechtenstein (M.A., MBA, Dr. rer. pol., LL.M.).

He spends his free time with his partner (Prio 1), with his Italian greyhound Shiva, cycling (summer), skiing (winter), fitness training, ballroom dancing (swing and salsa), reading and writing articles and books on investment topics.
